        The Trump regime's deportations have continued in spite of public outcry and court orders demanding they halt. When confronted, Trump either maintains that these people are criminals despite them not being charged or tried for any of their crimes or assures reporters that this is the first he's hearing of this- A lie that disguises disregard for the constitution that warrants imprisonment as incompetence that warrants impeachment. A case that has gained particular attention is that of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Venezuelan immigrant who he has alleged is a member of MS-13, a Salvadorian gang responsible for human trafficking, gun running, and many other crimes. However, the best evidence the Trump regime has produced is an image of tattoos on Garcia's fingers, which include a marijuana leaf, smiley face, cross, and a skull. None of these symbols have any serious connection to the cartel, and the connections he draws with them are thin- they allegedly represent the initials of the gang, with the skull supposedly representing 3.. Beyond the narrative of this man's guilt- and the guilt of many who have received no trial- Trump claims he cannot have these people returned to America as they are already in El Salvador's custody. This is in wild contradiction with his repeated threatening of American allies of trade concessions, including Panama, which he's suggested could be forced to cede control of its canal at gunpoint. If you want to express your opposition to these acts, you can use the governments Find your Member page contact your senator or representative to demand they oppose these act of the government.

        That last part is particularly important, as the public pressure is growing. Trump's approval rating is falling to historic lows, with him scraping a mere 54% approval from the ever devoted Republicans. He was forced to delay his tariff policies as the public, in his own words, "were getting a little yippy". Musk, an enthusiastic backer of his, has promised to step away from DoGE and the government as a whole as Tesla stock plumets. Obviously, this does not prevent all of these disastrous policies, but they prove a fact true of every person in every democracy- They answer to the people. Trump and Musk and every other man and woman of his clique can try to trod on the people as much as they like, but they are reaching a breaking point. AOC and Bernie Sander's Fighting Oligarchy tour has drawn thousands of attendees, even in deep red states- nine thousand in Montana, twelve thousand in Idaho, twenty thousand in Utah. Resistance will require strength and endurance, perhaps for years upon years, but it will succeed because of the simplest rule of democracy- That the minority cannot ignore the demands of the majority forever.

        On a related note, I would like to apologize for my absence. I was writing a post dedicated to the recent SAVE act but was caught up in my life and my own emotion about the issue. By the time the post was ready to publish, it was no longer current and, since the point of this blog is to provide current information and advice, I didn't feel it was worth publishing. For those who do not know, the SAVE act requires that people present identification with their current, legal name, such as a birth certificate, a passport, or another document from a short list. This is to defend against alleged acts of voter fraud, which the conservative Heritage Foundation can, despite all of their lying and bending the truth, cannot find 2000 incidents of. In a nation of more than 300 million, this would be meaningless, but these cases date back to 1984, meaning those 2000 incidents happened in a nation of millions over more that four decades. The only attempt to subvert elections is coming from the Grand Old Party and it's act, acts like this.

        Many have asked one simple but piercing question- What of those who have changed their name? Women who have adopted their spouses surnames, people who have transitioned their identity, people who have simply exercised their right to be known by a different name? Changing a birth certificate is impossible, changing a passport can cost anywhere from $65 to $165. Making matter worse, which is no doubt the point, 21 million Americans cannot easily access any of the required documents documents. The final insult is that out of 220 votes for the act, 4 were Democrats! Jared Golden of Maine's 2nd congressional district, Marie Perez of Washington's 3rd congressional district, Henry Cuellar of Texas' 28th congressional district, and Ed Case of Hawaii's 1st congressional district- All voted for this act that shreds American rights. All voted to trample over the American people. All voted for Trumps agenda. If you live in these areas or any area with a Democrat toying with the idea of supporting Trump's agenda, send them a message. The Republican party is the ruling one, and is rolling out a campaign that tramples on the Constitution. The Democratic party is the opposition party, and must oppose this campaign. The message we must send to them is this- Oppose, or we will find someone who will oppose in your place.

        Lastly, the measles outbreak has reached more than 800 cases across 29 states and D.C., with Texas, New Mexico, Kansas, and Ohio suffering from serious cases. Keep an eye on cases in your area, and if they reach serious levels, take precautions- Mask, socially distance, and if you can help it, just go out less. Three people have died, two of them children, and I do not want anyone who can avoid it to die.
