        The Pentagon has attempted to censure Senator Mark Kelly for participating in a video alongside other veterans in congress telling American troops that they do not have to obey illegal orders. I could be purposely obtuse, but now is not the time for that- the Pentagon under Pete Hegseth wants its soldiers to carry out and continue to carry out illegal orders. The Trump regime has ordered soldiers against to deploy against the American people, has ordered the summary execution without trial of civilians in foreign water accused without evidence of drug smuggling, has threatened war with our allies in Europe and Canada. This censure attempt is meant to silence any meaningful opposition to this illegal and unconstitutional campaign. Senator Kelly is an American hero, one whose character secretary Hegseth would know nothing about. The man served America for years abroad, then came home to serve America in Congress. This attack on him is not only one on him, but the American values that he represents and stands for.

        Senator Kelly is filing a counter suit. He is forcing Secretary Hegseth and the Pentagon to defend the indefensible in court or give up their assault on liberty. The DNC fight fund is devoting resources to support him and his lawsuit. You can give to them, add your name to a petition circulating in support of him, and express your support in the upcoming January 20th protests. If you know soldiers or are a soldier yourself, you can reach out to GI Resistance, a coalition that provides legal advice to soldiers under pressure from their superiors to carry out illegal orders. The actions that prompted the senator's video will be repeated by the Trump regime, and we will need a defense against it.

        Meanwhile, a recent shooting in Minneapolis has sparked outrage. Renee Good, a mother of three, was shot in the head three times at point blank range. This murder was carried out by Jonathan Ross, who referred to Good as a "fucking bitch" after shooting her. Noem called Good a terrorist without evidence or investigation. Kash Patel's FBI has taken over the case, denying Minnesotan agencies access to the evidence they would need to prosecute this murderer. The GOP- who have long lied that they oppose federal overreach- has defended this, saying that if you obey every word any agent says, "you get to keep you life". They have made it clear that murdering Americans is acceptable so long as a Republican is the murderer.

        Several Democratic congressmen have begun plans to slash funding for the DHS and ICE if they do not pull back on their operations and commit to major reforms. You can use Congress' find your rep service to contact your representatives and senators and voice your support for this initiative and demand they support it too. Until it reaches the floor, you can support migrants more directly- ICEmap and StopICE both track the movements of this army of thugs and murderers across America. You can contribute to them or spread awareness of them to the people who need it. The tarjetas rojas give migrants a summary of their legal rights, while AOC's know your rights website gives more information and legal counsel. Both of these can be spread to the people who need it, either through the internet or word of mouth.
