The Supreme Court has ruled in favor of Louisiana's government in a case on the Voting Rights Act- congressional districts draw to ensure representation for Black and Brown communities can now be replaced with new gerrymanders. There are more than a dozen districts across the south that would be redistricted to suppress minority voters.
Given the recent nature of this ruling, there has yet to be any official lawsuits against this. However, many are sure to come. The ACLU and NAACP are among those likely to fight this and other similar attempts to suppress voters. They are accepting volunteers and donations. Meanwhile, something you can do is register to vote- yes, this news is of something that would suppress the vote and lessen the effect of voting, but them doing this means they are rightfully terrified of us voting them out. We may not win every battle, or even most battles, but we can spread them thin by forcing them to fight every battle. We can work to exhaust them and their resources before they try to build on this- because believe me, they are sure to try and build on this. Rock the Vote provides a guide on how to register to vote in every state. Use this information for yourself or get it to someone who can use it.
Meanwhile, ICE is returning to Minnesota with the full support of the FBI under the guise of investigating "fraud", the same claim that excused the raids earlier this year which resulted in three Americans being murdered and thousands being kidnapped. If you are in Minnesota- or anywhere, as the regime is sure to spread the scope of these operations- you should prepare for when ICE comes to your neighborhood. The 50/50/1 has created a guide on how to handle ICE raids- prepare in advance for raids with people you trust and gather numbers. More broadly, it includes information on how to punish businesses that collaborate with ICE. Gather for Good provides aid to victimized groups throughout the county- you can contribute to it through volunteering either your time or money.
God bless America
