        Troy Jackson has won the Democratic nomination for Maine's senate seat. After the ousting of that snake Platner, he was chosen by the people of Maine to go up against and beat Susan Collins, with polls showing him beating her in the general election. A veteran with more than a decade in the Maine senate under his belt, he has stayed true to his progressive liberal principles while winning the seat to represent Maine's rural north. He is the best chance Maine and America has to beat Collins, a snake in her own right who has backed wars and put a rapist on the Supreme Court. She must go same as Platner, and she will go same as Platner. Troy Jackson's campaign is accepting help from Mainers and Americans- you can donate, you can canvas, you can phone bank. Groups in Maine with similar goals include the Maine Democratic Party, who work to secure the party's hold in Maine's federal and local elections, and the Maine Solidarity Fund, which organizes aid in Maine for those affected by ICE and anti-trans policies.

        Meanwhile, the fight for political change needs to continue across the country. The Black Power War Room, organized by groups like the NAACP, is working to monitor and fight efforts to suppress the black vote on a state level. It is organizing protests and state level lobbying against these racist attacks on democracy.
